Juvederm Volbella is the trade name of a filler based on hyaluronic acid (hyaluron). Volbella is one of the latest generation of fillers, which contain more short-chain hyaluronic acid than the earlier hyaluronic acid fillers. This makes the filler more fluid and leads to less swelling in the tissue. Volbella was primarily developed for the treatment of the lips (lip wrinkles, lip enhancement), but is also increasingly being used by experienced doctors to treat dark circles under the eyes due to its positive properties with regard to swelling.
